About the Author
Daniel C. Dantini, MD, is a facial plastic surgeon who developed an interest in treating fibromyalgia after he was diagnosed with the disease. He has since spent years studying it and has treated thousands of patients. He is currently heading a clinical study for a major drug company to test the effectiveness of antiviral drugs in treating fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. He lives in Ormond Beach, Florida.

This Book (and Dr Dantini) Gave Me My Life Back!!!

My name is Sharon O. I am 38 years old. After years of searching for the cure to fibromyalgia I came across this book (and Dr Dantini) and was able to get my life back!!!

About 3 years ago (when I was 35) I started having back and neck trouble. What began as "simple" backache type pain, turned into degenerative disk disease in which I had 4 surgeries; one on my L4L5, and 3 in the cervical region of my neck (fusions and artificial disk replacements). These surgeries took a MAJOR toll on my body. All the while, fibromyalgia set in and began wreaking havoc on my body. I began to have TERRIBLE pain in my lower and upper back, along with pain in my neck, arms and shoulders . It was terrible, relentless BURNING pain that just NEVER really went away. My body went to hell in a handbasket within months of the surgeries. Daily I would wake up with terrible brain fog. I would ask myself " Did I just sleep for 8 hours? ... because I sure feel like s***!!! " ... When I woke up in the morning, I NEVER felt well rested. NEVER! In fact, the mornings were always the worst part of the day for me. At 35, I felt as if my body was 90 years old. My bones hurt, my muscles ached, and EVERY day it felt as if I had been in a boxing match the day prior. I just couldn't figure out WHY my body was hurting so bad. I was simply baffled! My husband didn't know what to do for me. All he could to help was to offer me ice packs to stop the burning in my neck and shoulder area. He would sometimes rub my shoulders and massage me, and he always found tight little knots in my shoulder and thoracic area of my back. It was really strange! I was mad at my body. The nerves running up and down my arms were sore, almost as if they were on fire. The severe aching in my arms, shoulders and neck area became simply unbearable. I was prescribed the Fentanyl patch, along with Roxicodone for breakthrough pain. I was on a lot of Opioid Medications, and it did help somewhat. But NO pain medications ever got rid of the burning shoulder pain that plagued me almost daily. Ice packs were the only temporary remedy.

SO ...
After months and months of online research, I found this book as well as Dr Dantini who does food allergy testing, as well as viral/virus testing. I figured "what the heck", I had tried everything else to try to rid my body of this terrible fibro pain. In January of this year (2013), I had my blood drawn and then shipped down to Dr Dantinit's lab. When I got all of the test results back I was shocked. I found out that not only did I have two latent viruses in my body, but I also had major food allergies. Strawberries, pineapples, oranges, vanilla, soy, milk, peanuts, tea, .... the list goes on! Dr Dantini's protocol requires the patient to detox from all the foods for about 6 weeks. Well, about a month after I detoxed from all of these foods I was allergic to I felt 70+% better! Then, too top it all off, I asked my primary care doctor in St Louis to prescribe me some anti-viral drugs, and within one month of taking these two anti-viral drugs, (along with the food allergy detox) I was 90+% cured of all my fibromyalgia pain.

My goal is to spread the message forward to any fibromyalgia sufferers who will listen. Once I found the answer to my fibro pain issues, I promised myself that I would spread the message on to ANYONE else that I came into contact with who had fibromyalgia pain issues. If you want to rid your body of fibromyalgia, you should consider buying this book and then giving Dr Dantini a call. It will be well worth your time and money! Do the food allergy test, along with the viral test - you might just be surprised to find out what issues can be cured by having the results from these two simple test. Give it a try!

This book has the REAL ANSWERS to your Fibromyalgia!

I have spent several years living in tremendous pain, agony, and fatigue. I've read countless books/articles and talked to several doctors, with ZERO relief. If you want to get to the real root of your pain and fatigue, read this book. Dr. Dantini has real experience treating and getting Results for thousands of Fibromyalgia sufferers.

I wasted years of my life talking to doctors who only wanted to treat my symptoms. I have also learned (from close friends that are doctors) that the vast majority of physicians don't like treating Fibromyalgia patients. They feel we take TOO MUCH OF THEIR VALUABLE TIME and it frustrates them that they can't provide any real help.

I read Dr. Dantini's book and flew to Florida for an office visit. (I tried to get local doctors to read his book but it was like pulling teeth. I didn't want to be constantly wasting my energy convincing people that, to a certain degree, don't believe Fibromyalgia exists in the first place).

My recommendation is to 1st try typical treatments from your local doctor. If it brings and keep you back to a "normal/productive" person, then great! I've had symptoms for over 20 years and unfortunately none of the typical medications and treatments helped. (And don't get me wrong I am extremely disciplined in exercising daily, eating healthily, maintaining a strict sleep schedule behaviorally, etc).

If you do not regain your life after a few months, read this book and follow Dr. Dantini's recommendations. He suffered with Fibromyalgia himself back in the 1980's and understands how hard it can be. He is willing to perform phone consultations and offer prescription "recommendations" for your local doctor. (Just remember you still might have to "convince" your local doc to follow his "recommendations"). Or you can fly to Florida for a doctor's visit with Dr. Dantini and then he can diagnose and prescribe.

In my opinion (and I have a very strong one now), don't settle for any doctor or healthcare provider who doesn't (1) treat you with respect (this doesn't always happen with Fibromyalgia) and (2) give you a "REAL" solution to live a FULL and NORMAL life, instead of merely coping with the pain, fatigue, and agony.

P.S. I honestly believe "most" doctors really do care and would like to see you get better. My dad, uncle, grandpa, and several of my very good friends are medical doctors and chiropractors. Doctors would like to see Fibromyalgia patients get better, but don't go to them unless they can help you get REAL RESULTS. Don't SETTLE for anything less. (It's YOUR Life!) Do whatever it takes to find Real Answers. This may be with Dr. Dantini or with another doc.

Must read if looking for for alternative options.

As soon as I was diagnosed I was put on Cymbalta. After two years, I could not take the extreme fatigue. So I went off I still have flares but I'm always looking for a way to reduce them. This book is a great new angle at looking at the cause of the disease and the treatment plan. I cannot wait to get tests done and see if this will help my fibro.

Wait until it get reduced

There writing it self was beautiful like we know it from R.K.Lilley but here is my reason for just 3 stars. It felt to me like the book was put together from her notes, like all the scrap notes from every character put together in one book and i thought very confusing right in the middle of the book are teaser`s from all other book (breathing fire) (crossing fire .....usw) and then it goes back to POV`s from James .
Like i said the writing is beautiful but for the prize if this book and what you get for it is not worth that much money. Wait until it get reduced.

Terrible waste of time. Description says it's a continuation of the series, which is stretching the truth. Yes, there are additional elements added, but there is no story. it's a summation of events. "I'm James and here's the stuff that happened after she was shot through the baby and oh there were a couple more kids, too" The description also says it's told from the viewpoints of James, Stephan, Tristan, and Akira. Well, Tristan has a bit part in a couple of chapters but nothing is told from his perspective. Akira and Lana aren't even mentioned. I just don't understand what the point of this book is. if it were an actual fleshed out story, it would be good. Instead, it's a beefed up outline of a story that could be told. It feels unfinished and is ultimately unsatisfying.

What the heck was this?!

I am seriously disappointed. This can hardly be consideration a continuation of the series. James POV is 95% of past events that we already read about. I hate when author do this switched POV in order to sell books. I never want to read (or buy) the same book twice. And for $6.99 this was a rip off. The book was seriously short and a complete waste of time. Can I get my money back? I can't believe this was the book I have waiting for since she announced it. OMG, I am so upset. Authors, please if you don't have full brand new story in you, don't bother writing a book. And if you want to switch point of views and sell the same book twice, the least you can do is put a disclaimer and save some of your readers the let down. The writing also seems to not be up to par to the passed books. It was very corny, and James didn't even have the same appeal like in the other books. I love Stephen but really it would have been awesome if his story was also not a recurrence of past events. His story would also be better if he had his own book and was not used as a filler for this one. I really like this author and I am only willing to give her books another shot because of some of her past writings but I will no longer one-click buy another one of her books without first knowing if it is something I have read before. I hope this review save some other readers their seven bucks! Keep that $7 and put it toward getting the new Crossfire book (next month), at least then you know you will be getting a full book with new situations.

Well-tailored Peter fumes as he watches his old school friend Steve Mancini run rings around him in their separate defenses of Christopher Mammon and Kevin Booth, two lugs charged with serious coke possession. But salvation seems at hand when Steve maneuvers Peter into defending Gary Harmon, who's facing the death penalty for aggravated homicide after a third Whitaker State coed is killed with a hatchet. A MUST READ LEGAL THRILLER!!!

I have read other Margolin books but this one is the best I have read. It started a little slow and the main character, Peter Hale, made mistakes a lawyer should not make reguardless the field of law he is in. Hale has been sent to Oregon because he has messed up where he is. He is caught up in the middle of a murder case involving a mentally retarded man. Did the man murder the woman? All things point to him doing in at first. But there are many differnet things involved. As Assistant DA who will stop at nothing, legal or not. A brother-in-law, who is also an attorney, that just does not seem right about the case. If the retarted man is convicted can Peter safe him before he is sentenced? Who really is the killer? You will be surprised, at least I was. A book I did not want to put down. I wanted to read faster and faster to see if Gary, the retarted man, would be saved. I could not believe he would be convicted. I thought if I read faster the crime would be solved faster, I guess. Was there an undercover cop? If so which one. If you like legal mysteries you will like this one.

A capitivating mystery

Young and arrogrant, Peter Hale was sent to a back-woods town for a lesson in humility after fumbling a major case for his father. Driven from his life of priviledge where nothing but the finest would do ~~ Peter takes on another case and this time, learns a lesson about human nature. He took on a case of a mentally-retarded man who is accused of killing a young college co-ed. This same man was also caught just a few weeks prior as a peeping tom at the local college. This man is also a brother-in-law of Peter's former college classmate ~~ another reason why Peter took on the case.
This book is full of twists and turns that Margolin is famous for ~~ and his writing captivates your attention from beginning to the end. Margolin shows human nature at its worst and shows it at its best ~~ and though you thought you have it all figured out ~~ he surprises you again. It's a fun and fast legal thriller ~~ perfect for summer reading. I had a blast reading this book and so did everyone who I loaned this book to!

Still Searching

I am still searching for an author who can take over this genre. Phillip Margolin's "Burning Man" fell way short of expectation. The book was very trite and very predictable, with to many Grishamish charatcers. Margolin throws all the typical ingredents in the book stirs them up and you get the same results, just another blah lawyer novel.
Since William Coughlin's death and John Grisham writing movie books, there is no writer in this genre to be the leader. Margolin is worth another read, but if your looking for something inspired and different this is not the book to be reading.

This is a mandatory text for all practicing opticians, and recommended for optometrists who plan to dispense eyewear.
I am an optometry student, and a licensed dispensing optician with an ABO Master certification.
Excellent resource for all things related to ophthalmic optics.
Well laid out, and the updated version here has color photographs. I've used the second edition extensively, and opted to purchase this third edition for my own reference.

THE #1 Reference Book for Dispensing

This is THE book for opticians and optometrists. I used this to study for the AOA and ABO licensing tests and passed both without any problems prior to using it as reference in optometry school. It details the hows and whys of ophthalmic optics and is a phenomenal reference. I am proud to have this book in my collection and do refer back to it even now.

It's a great reference tool when you come accross special cases

The information is a little outdated, but it still has relevant and practical information about adjusting and fitting eyeglasses. I wouldn't use this as a sole study source for ABO exams. It isn't very well rounded. If you get find this book on sale, I'd say snatch it up. It's a great reference tool when you come accross special cases, out of the ordinary adjustments, and unusual frame materials.

Morpheus, Lord of Dreams and the central figure in the series, is asked by his sister, the unstable and touchingly demented Delirium, to help locate their brother Destruction. Destruction abandoned his duties 300 years ago (about the time of the Enlightenmentnt), dropping out of sight after a prescient and despairing glimpse of the rise of human reason and its own destructive proclivities. The grimly ironic Morpheus and his whimsically erratic sister travel among the mortals of earth in search of their brother and ultimately learn something of Destruction's reasons for abdicating. Gaiman's works often follow the plots of classical and mythical narratives and Brief Lives, like his other works, can often look and sound as ponderous as a bad period costume movie. But his works are also driven by sharply drawn characters and his knack for capturing the patterns of intimacy, even in an otherworldly setting, can be affecting. Thompson and Locke contribute subtle and vividly colored drawings, rendered in an awkward but agile line.

A family dramedy, featuring one of the most intriguing families in comics.

Brief Lives is yet another great installment in a series already filled with great installments. I would say that BL is both the funniest and the most philosophical that the Sandman has ever been.

The humor is due in large part to the glorious return of dreams youngest sister, Delirium. She...you just can't describe it really, which is appropriate for her character. I guess I would have to say her ADD type personality leads to some laugh out loud moments. Especially when she gets together with Matthew.

The rest of the humor and the philosophy comes from Dream's long lost brother, the prodigal. For those who haven't read, I won't give away his real name. This man is the most reflective of the endless, and the reasons for abandoning his realm are finally revealed. Long time Gaiman fans may also notice the seeds being planted for his novel American Gods, released in the early 2000's.

This isn't my favorite story in the series, but it is for a lot of others that I know. Get reading!

Very good, and central to the story arc, but not my personal favorite volume

First up, all of the 10 volumes of The Sandman novels deserve 5 stars. They are a phenomenal acheivement in not only graphic novels but in storytelling itself. The story is complex and cerebral and the characters so well developed that Sandman is one of my favorite stories period. The novels are intensely violent and often disturbing but everything that happens serves a purpose, and nothing happens by chance or just for the sake of things happening. Something that happens in one volume may become vitally important 3 or 4 volumes later. By the end of the 10th volume everything has come full circle with an appropriate and satisfying end.

With regards to Volume 7, it is good, and central to the story arc, but not my favorite volume. This is primarily because I had a hard time personally relating to the character of Delirium. She was written to be that way but she is an often confusing and difficult character to follow. The story concerns Delirium's wish to reunite with her brother Destruction (one of the Endless who abandoned his responsibilities many years previously). When Desire and Despair both turn her away she goes to Dream who agrees to accompany her.

As far as the volume's content on the Kindle Fire - I was hesitant to abandon the volumes in print worried that the Kindle Fire might provide a more difficult viewing experience. That hasn't turned out the be the case. The novel is easy to read, you can scan in to specific boxes, and the colors are vibrant.

Excellent Story. Highly recommended for a reason.

As a comic book fan I know most people probably imagine the world of comics as being about super heroes or Sunday Funnies. But, the comic medium is worthy of so much more.

Sandman is that "much more". The story is excellent, and is wonderfully executed. You're going to want to get all of these at once, because they can't be put down.

If you're already a comic book fan, you've likely heard of Sandman. So what are you waiting for? Read this already!

If you aren't already a comic book fan, maybe it's time to give it a chance. If any story is going to change your mind about the possibilities of this art form, this is the one.
