This a great book.

This is a great book. It has lots of excellent diagrams which clearly explain complex topics in vascular ultrasound. Dr Polak is a world famous expert on vascular ultrasound and has written numerous papers in the medical literature on vascular ultrsound. He supervises a vascular ultrsound lab and is also an invasive radiologist who uses vascular ultrasound for performing procedures such as venous access, TIPS, and thrombolysis. He has taught hundreds of physicians and technologists about vascular ultrasound at Harvard Medical School. This book covers arterial and venous ultrasound from head to toe and is highly recommended. This is the best book ever written on vascular ultrasound that I am aware of. I am a physician and supervisor of the vascular lab at my hospital.

Raymond A. Huml, MS, DVM, RAC is Executive Director of Global Due Diligence in Quintiles Capital Solutions ('Capital') for Quintiles Transnational Corp. Dr. Huml has over 20 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. In his current position, Dr. Huml identifies risks associated with Quintiles global (US, EU and Japan) product-based investments, working with specialists on all components of the due diligence process, including research and development, commercial, intellectual property, and conflict of interest. He previously worked in Biostatistics, Medical Writing, and Regulatory Affairs Departments in Quintiles Clinical Development Services group. Dr. Huml has authored and co-authored numerous scientific publications, and is a strong supporter of the Regulatory Affairs Professional's Society (RAPS). He holds an MS in Biology from East Stroudsburg University and his DVM from North Carolina State University's College of Veterinary Medicine, and has earned the RAC (US) Certification.

Every women's MUST HAVE !

This book is definitely a must-have for every woman.

From here, you will be able to correctly define your body shape and size:

1) measure your shoulder, bust, waist, hip (it teaches you to do so correctly) to calculate your proportions and define your SHAPE. You will find out whether you are a Triangle, Inverted Triangle, Rectangle or Hourglass;
2) use the relationship between your height and weight to define whether you are slender, average, plus or double plus;
3) then your height alone to define if you are petite, tall or something in between.

Once you know all of the above, then you will be invited into your particular dressing room (there're 48 of them in the book) and find out exactly what types of tops, skirts, pants, dreses, jackets, coats, shoes and accessories are most flattering on you, as well as what you shoud avoid. It also identifies a celebrity for each fitting room for your reference.

There are only 4 pages devoted to each fitting room (body shape), but there is so much useful information and it is almost all you need to build your entire wardrobe! These 4 pages of information is invaluable!

You can always use the information in the other fitting rooms to help the ones you care, like your best friends, your mother, your sisters, your daughers etc...

The book aslo gives other advice on:
1) the fundamental pieces in your wardrobe;
2) answer a few questions in order to define your style of sexy;

Expected more for the money

Being a plus-size, I have read several books on how to dress my figure. This is the first book I've seen that addresses height, weight, and body shape all at the same time. Which is GREAT! And the book has given me ideas on new things to try that I wouldn't have otherwise considered... However, I was looking for a little more substance to the rest of the book. Do's and Don'ts lists of accessorizing, shoes, quality vs. quantity, etc. just didn't quite cut it for me. Eighteen dollars for a book where only 30 pages of it applies to me (including the four about dressing for my body type) doesn't provide me with the bang I was expecting for my buck. You'd be better off borrowing the book at the library and photocopying the pages applying to you.

"Get Thee to Dressing Sexy!"

I know many viewers have marked this title down for having only a few pages relating to their body type. I did get this title from the library (which I had to wait to get because the library system doesn't have a lot of copies and it's a popular title). I thought this book was very valuable, especially since I'm a petite,full figured woman. There are so few books that address the many body types of full figure women. After reading this book I found out why some of my clothes made me look thinner and others made me look dumpy.
Still, I think this is a fashion book that will hold up to time. The book can be passed around among friends, sisters, moms and daughters; then it will get it's mileage. I may still buy it or ask for it for a gift. As I'm losing weight, I'll most likely need to refer to it again (since some things clothing advice changes for weight rather than body shape).

In recent years he served as President of Kagan Research, the leading provider of financial analysis on the media industry, and CEO of JupiterResearch, a key source of consumer research on Web behavior. As a consultant, Baskerville’s clients have included the Motion Picture Association of America, Variety, Time Warner, IBM, International Data Corp., Young & Rubicam, JVC America, Apple, and The Rockefeller Foundation. This is a truly excellent book! As more and more colleges and universities are starting to teach courses in Music Business, Music Entrepreneurship, etc. this book is truly answering the call for an academic study of the "Music Industry." The closest substitute to this textbook would be All You Need to Know About the Music Business: Eighth Edition. However, this book is more of a nonfiction book for the curious reader at Barnes and Noble. "Music Business Handbook" offers greater depth and a wider perspective. I appreciate how this looks at both the "classical" and "mainstream" industries in music and also has great online tools to enhance learning.

Good if using for individuals child, I wanted to use it for my classroom. Didn't work out that well. I ended up tearing out the pages, putting them in plastic sleeves, using an erase able marker, and using in centers.

Get this solutions book if you have the math book to this!!!! I only have tutoring once a week and was in great need of help during the days I didn't go. This solutions manual goes step by step. It has the answers to all vocabulary section, tests, and for the chapters it has every odd. It goes in depth and gives it a breakdown of each odd problem on exactly how to do it. I cannot stress enough how much this book has helped me! I already seen a few students in the same class as me with this solutions Manuel after recommending them to it. Trust me get this book you will use it!!

Profoundly effecting. Horrifying, Loving.

I gave this four stars, only because the story is something of a tragedy, not because of lack of quality of the writing.
Simply put, Erika Moak is literary genius. If you've ever read her masterpiece Eudeamon, I don't know anyone who's ever read that masterpiece and not said it's the finest science fiction story they've ever read, and I've told the author this myself. She has talent. Pure, raw, unadulterated talent. However that talent takes intense forms sometimes, and this story is no exception.

This is a dark tale. A story of abuse, redemption, loss, love, and torture. This has real nitty gritty dark, not-pretty torture in it. But Erika Moak has a talent for taking the darkest, most obscene stuff, and finding a rose and love within it. You feel almost perverse for reading it, but also in seeing the love (and it's real love) in it.

She understands human relationships and emotions in a way that's very rarely seen in an author.

Whether you can take this story, is another matter. This story is not for the feint of heart, and may take an iron stomach.
It's very well written, and doesn't lack for talent. Whether you can take the story that's within is another matter.

It's 60 pages, so it's only one evening's read. It will move you. Fill you with love, and also horrify you at times.

It's definitely a ride. If you can take it, you're getting a taste of some very fine writing.

It spoke to me personally, and helped me. I found it helped me move through some things. I definitely think anybody who reads this will be effected. However it may be in different ways. Some may be profoundly moved to self-reflection about their own past, or filled with the reminder of the own person they love. Others maybe horrified and wonder WTF they just read!? Or a bit of both.

This is a ride, but it's a talented ride, and filled with love, and sorrow and perversity, and love again.

Whether it's worth it for you, I cannot say. This effected me I'll say that.

Ouch!

I don't know why I thought there might be a happy ending. Instead, it reminded me of the 80-page Mord-Sith scene in "Wizard's First Rule". Not my cup of tea, but if you liked that and don't mind a depressing ending, give it a go!
