Content is OK, quality is subpar

I ordered this book for a Political Science class I am currently enrolled in. While the content of the book is obviously biased, it is very informative. My gripe is with how cheaply made the book is. Every page I turn ends up falling out of the book, by the time I am done with the book I imagine that none of the pages will be connected to the binding anymore. I've never had a paperback book be so cheaply made and I'm afraid I will lose some of the pages eventually. Definitely a disappointment for the $130 price tag.

I Never Write Reviews...

In fact I rarely read books cover to cover. But I just had to write a review this time. This book was so compelling and fascinating and well supported I literally could not put it down. I read it cover to cover in one sitting. If you want to understand more about this topic, THIS IS A MUST! There are a couple of dry parts that I attribute to the author thoroughly explaining topics with supporting evidence. You will find that devout Christians will bash books like this and rush to offer 1 star reviews never having bought the book or read any part of it. TRUST ME - That is all the more reason to get this book.

In "The Ancient Egyptian Roots Of Christianity", Gadalla connects certain historical and spiritual aspects of Christianity to their roots in Ancient Egypt including the prominent ancestors (Moses, David, and Solomon) of the historical Jesus, Christian tenants of the early church; the names Christ, Mary, Lazarus, and others; the creation story as set down in the Book of Genesis; and such Christian concepts as Christmas, epiphany, Last Supper; Easter, transfiguration, and more. A welcome and iconoclastic addition to the growing body of alternative archaeology and Egyptology, especially recommended to the attention of students in Egyptology, Christianity, Metaphysics, and Archaeology.[...]

This prolific author, head of his own foundation, writes consistently crazy books that lack support. This one is no exception, but it is highly amusing. You will not be convinced of his argument. You will be entertained.

Experienced contributors from across these domains have thematically explored: (1) the history and conceptual underpinnings of the GI as a legal category; (2) the effectiveness of international protection regimes; (3) the practical operation of domestic protection systems; and (4) long-unresolved as well as emerging critical issues. Specific topics include a detailed interrogation of the history and functions of terroir; the present state as well as future potential of international GI protection, including the Lisbon Agreement, 2015; conflicts between trade marks and GIs; the potential for GIs to contribute to rural or territorial development as well as sustain traditional or Indigenous knowledge; and the vexed question of generic use.
